ONE DAY IN PORTLAND: Multnomah Falls

Being lucky enough to actually view the Oregon's No. 1 most visited natural attraction, the Multnomah Falls. The water coming from the falls is very clear as you can observe while walking towards the entrance of the trail. Surprisingly, there were lots of Filipino visitors walking with us in the trail. You can also bring your pets provided that you must control and on a leash at all times.

It took less than a mile to reach the falls’ bridge which gives you a closer look of the falls. You can feel the coolness from the spray and mist, so better bring sweater. I could hear the roaring sound of the falls clearly as I can see the second tier drops down while standing on the bridge. It gives a feeling like I’m standing right next to the edge of the second tier falls. Kinda scary at first look, since I’m scared of heights but soon I appreciate the view and it’s one of the wonderful experiences I would never forget. Some of the visitors went on towards the top but we didn’t have enough time so we just stopped by to the Gift Shop to buy souvenirs before we left. There were lots of different kinds of souvenirs to choose from. There’s also a certificate that serves as a proof that you visited the falls for just $1. The staffs were so friendly and courteous. There were also Lodging Restaurant, Snack Bar, Expresso Bar and Interpretive Center.

The experience visiting the fall is so remarkable that I want to come back again but this time it would be on winter time. I want to see the actual look of the falls with all the snows around it.
